Is JPG Magazine Folding?

JPG Magazine may be shutting down immediately.  Founded on an extraordinarily active community, the magazine uses crowdsourcing to gather content for its semi-monthly published paper issues.  Sure, traditional publishing may be slowly grinding to a halt, but the hybrid publishing model is so innovative!

Perhaps they should created muli-tiered memberhips and leave the revenue-sucking physical magazine strictly optional.

You can download back issues in PDF form before the site goes down on Monday 1/5.

*It looks like JPG Magazine co-founder Derek Powazek has started his next venture: MagCloud, a print-on-demand magazine publishing service.*

UPDATE: JPG Magazine may not be completely dead yet.  Several smaller investors are attempting a last-minute rescue here.
